Facebook Launches Video Calls to 50 Participants Without Time Limits. Applications like Zoom and Houseparty gained popularity in the middle of this Containment period and gave stiff competition to Facebook and WhatsApp. Now, to win back its users, Facebook has rolled out a new video conferencing feature called Messenger Rooms that allows 50 users to participate in a video call.

Messenger Rooms
Messenger Rooms will allow users to create public or private video chat rooms with a capacity of 50 people and with no time limit. Facebook also offers virtual backgrounds for video chat rooms as well as Facebook augmented reality (AR) filters.
Participants without an account can also join the video call in Messenger Room using a link. However, a downside to Messenger Rooms is that video calls are not protected by end-to-end encryption. But Facebook claims that the level of security is much better than Zoom.
How to use Facebook Messenger Rooms?
